CHINA?!?

We found out today that Aaron will be going to China for his Masters program trip. And...I don't care what anyone says...I'm going with! It is in the fall sometime. That means that we need to get our passports ASAP and I need to start saving as much money as possible.
Who ever thought we would ever in a million years go to China? Not me! Does anybody know anything about China? Does anyone want to come with to keep me company while Aaron is doing all that boring school stuff? Just let me know, oh, by the way, you would have to pay for yourself.

Holy crap! China sounds like a lot of fun. Rob's dad has actually been there quite a few times with his work. Be prepared for a super long flight. Let me know specific info. that you want, I'll ask. I am so excited for you. Way to go Aaron.

Well, all I know is the Mandarin is yummy and living outside of Bountiful doesn't work too well when I want the Mandarin. You could come to San Francisco and we could go to Chinatown and see what that is like? There is this blog http://heidiswapp.typepad.com/my_weblog/ and she lived or lives in China. I haven't read it in awhile, but if you look back she has adventures in China that she's had. Sounds like a fun trip. I'm assuming the kids aren't going?

That is great - what an adventure this will be! Go to the Bountiful Post Office or http://travel.state.gov/passport/passport_1738.html to read about what to do.
Find out where in China - it is a big country, you know. My boss took his family to Taiwon to pick up missionary son.
Sounds way cool!

HOLY LONG DUCK DONG WONG PING PONG AND CHEN(That is my chinese speaking for the day)...So I will totally go with you to China, but you will have to fill me in on the when, where, how long, and when my babysitter can expect me home. So, I have a bestest BFF that just got back from China a couple of months ago. You might remember the ol lad....it is the famous CARRIE MEHR!!!!!!!!!I cant wait to drag you back to the hotel room after you drink all the saki and we will just tell Aaron you ate some bad sushi and you are sick. (or is saki Japanese?) I really wont be dragging you back because you guys are the normal part of the family.......:)oh and by the way in this months National Geographic it is all about China and it even comes with a complimentary el mapa baby.

Sam went to China a few years ago on a business trip. He LOVED it! He's also been to Bangladesh and Thailand on business (and he served his mission in Japan.) Where in China will you be going?

If you don't have a passport already, I'd get on it. It takes quite some time.

Have FUN!!! I'd never want to go. I'd starve. The food there is...well, it's exotic. Enjoy your meal of fried cockroaches (seriously. I am not kidding.)
