On Friday April 25, the evening we left for St. George, Piper had her Act Up! Performance. We were late, I was so embarrassed, her class was suppose to go first, but since we weren't there, the other class went first. We were late due to a number of reasons that I won't list here.
But, her performance was really good, her class is 5,6 and 7 year olds. Her line was,
"And his shrunk shank, and his big manly voice turning again toward childish treble, flutes and whistles in his sound."
You may recognize it, it is from William Shakespeare's "As You Like It."
Her friend Robin (from HONK! and Charlotte's Web) also performed that night. She is in the Musical Theatre class, she is older than Piper, but they are great friends. This is a picture of the two of them.
Youth Theatre at the U has been a huge blessing in our lives. Not only mine, I did it for years while growing up, but also my kidlets. I think that it is a big reason why they are not shy and I know it is the reason they have so many good friends from all walks of life.
This is a picture of Piper and Angie, her Act Up! teacher. Angie and I actually did a show a couple of years ago at Rodger's Memorial together.
This is a picture of Piper and Penny, the Artistic Director of Youth Theatre, and the director of Captain Bree.Yes, I realize that Piper is in the same outfit that she wore to her guitar recital. Something cute about this outfit. Piper had a really cute orange sundress two years ago, and ever since it has been too small, she has been really bummed, it was her favorite. I thought that I wouldn't be able to find another orange sundress, especially as cute as her old one. I searched the Internet, and guess where I found this? TARGET! I found it on the Internet, then I ran over to our Target and they had it. Piper loves it. Piper loves Sundresses, she actually prefers them over shorts. So, she has a few!

My Lucy LOVES orange. Everything- food, clothes, crayons, animals. I love that she loves something different than most girls. I'll have to keep my eye out for that dress. She would love it!
