Passion? Obsession? Love?

Well, whatever it is, here is one of my definitions.

I don't know what it is about these shoes, but man oh man do I love them! I am passionate about them and I literally obsess over them! I want several more pair....badly, but alas, I will have to wait.

I have even converted my husband! He has two pair.

My cousin and I were discussing them the other day (surprisingly I wasn't wearing any at the time), she said she doesn't wear hers for a fashion statement. I felt silly, because I wear mine...CONSTANTLY! I wear them with skirts!

I don't however, wear them to church, but pretty much everywhere else.

He chose to be a butterfly in his YTU show! Actually it was his second choice, but the other little boy really wanted to be the Coyote. It wasn't a big deal to Teague, so he was one of the Butterflies in "The Coyote and the Laughing Butterflies!" He told me that when he made his mask, he made it look like a
"Dude Butterfly."

1- That face! How can I NOT LOVE it?
2- His laid back attitude (for some things)

So, awhile back Aaron had read something that I had written in a note on Facebook. It was something about Vegetables that I dislike. I wrote something like "I can't think of any, maybe Asparagus, but I eat it." To that, Aaron said something like, "You don't like any vegetables!"

Ever since then, I think about this often. Let me say...YES I DO!

The problem is, is that I probably don't eat them in they way most people do. Say...ON A SANDWICH! Most people like to put all kinds of vegetables on their sandwich, not me, I like pickles on my sandwich and that is it. Lettuce is meant for a salad, so is Spinach. Olives are meant to be eaten alone. Tomatoes can be on a sandwich, but only on a Bacon Tomato sandwich! They can also be in a salad. I also eat Tomatoes plain, because I LOVE THEM. Cucumbers...again salad or alone. Carrots, I'm not sure how I even feel about them being in a salad, they too need to be eaten alone. I don't like to mix my vegetables much. Even my salads are pretty plain.

Then there is the whole cooked or raw issue. Here's the deal...some vegetables I like raw. Some vegetables I like cooked. And some, I even like both ways! I found a list of basic vegetables. I want to give you the run down on how I like them.

Artichoke - Cooked. Alone.
Asparagus - Cooked. Alone. Not my favorite.
Beets - Don't like
Broccoli - Raw and Cooked. Dipped in Ranch. Soaked in salt/garlic salt or cheese. Alone.
Brussels Sprouts - cooked and salted.
Cabbage - Raw in salad
Carrots - Raw and Cooked. Pickled. Alone.
Cauliflower - Raw. Alone.
Celery - Raw. Alone. My mom puts celery in everything...not a fan
Corn - Cooked. On the cob or off. Alone.
Cucumber - Raw. In vinegar and water or sour cream. Salad.
Eggplant - Cooked. Alone.
Garlic - Oh yummy...however you give it to me.
Green Beans - Cooked. however, not my fave. Alone.
Green Onions - Cooked in something or sprinkled on something.
Lettuce - Raw, lettuce was invented for the sole purpose of being a salad.
Ocra - Deep fried. Alone.
Olives - Raw. Alone. Don't like the green ones.
Onions - I prefer them cooked, but will eat them raw on a salad.
Peas - Cooked or Raw. Alone.
Peppers - I only like green peppers...Raw.
Potatoes - Cooked. Mashed, baked, fried....however.
Radishes - Raw with salt. Alone.
Spinach - Raw, only in my salad.
Squash - Cooked.
String Beans - Cooked, however, again, not my favorite. Alone.
Swiss Chard - Had it cooked all the time when I was a kid. I don't like it now.
Tomato - However you give it to me, I will eat it, as long as it's not on my sandwich.
Turnips - Raw. I use to eat them raw with my dad when I was little. Alone.
Zucchini - Raw or Cooked. Dipped or Fried. Alone.

Should I admit......

........that I was going potty when the idea came to me?

A few years back, I thought of this. I got out my pad and pen and drew out how I had imagined it in my head. I would buy frames here and there when I saw some that I liked. Finally in March of 2009 I got most of the pictures and hung them up. This is in my living room right above my couch. In the pictures, we are all about the same age, around 19 or 20, except of course my kidlets. As you can see, I am still missing some.

Top Row Left to Right: My Grandma Gus, My Grandpa Bullough, Aaron's Grandma Johnson (Wilma), Aaron's Grandpa Johnson (Paul)

Second Row Left to Right: My mom (Karen), me, Piper, Aaron's mom (Annie)

Third Row Left to Right: My dad (Larry), Teague, Aaron, Aaron's dad (John)
Bottom Row Left to Right: My Grandpa Hyde, My Grandma Hyde, blank, blank

The two empty frames are for Aaron's Grandma Bond and his Grandpa Salazar (his dad's parents). So, if any of you know my husbands grandparents and have me get them.

Hearts & Hands Humanitarian Project

Our stake did a Humanitarian project for the Activity Day girls and their moms. Not only is Piper Activity Days age, but I am one of the Activity Day leaders, so I got to go no matter what. I am so glad I did. Piper was so excited, she wanted to make sure she got to do everything. So, she traced patterns for bibs, burp bibs & balls, and she cut out the patterns that she traced. She also sewed balls, did some quilt tieing and made a hygeine kit. We were some of the last people to leave. I love the look on Piper's face when she is concentrating.

What color are they?

No, really I don't know anymore! He and I use to have the exact same color of eyes, but they have changed. Who knows, maybe they are still in the process of changing.

Piper's are obviously BLUE,

Aaron's are obviously BROWN

and mine are obviously a darker BLUE.

But tell me please, what color are Teague's?

On January 1, 2000

We moved into this house.

2 kidlets and nearly 10 years later....we are still here...

It isn't much. It isn't huge. It doesn't have top of the line anything. It's carpets are stained. It's walls have some dents. It's windows are not cleaned regularly. And it's yard certainly isn't the most beautiful in the neighborhood.

Now, August 2009, it is not just a house. It is our HOME...and that's what matters.

Adult Acne

A friend and I were e-mailing back and forth. She said in one of her e-mails "...Your hair is darling by the way. you can pull off those short dos cause you have a good face for it. and no adult acne, like me."

Thanks for the compliment! However, when I read the last part of that, I literally Laughed Out Loud! I do have adult acne. I do. I do. I do. And, it is so frustrating, because I never really struggled with it as a teen or young adult, a little here and there, but not a big deal.

As a matter of fact, while we were at our cousins baptism (on Saturday, the day before said e-mail), waiting for him to come back from the font, Teague was laying in my lap looking up at and touching my face (he's a little cuddle bug), when he said...VERY EVERYONE and their sister could hear,

"Mom, you should get some of that medicine that makes it so you don't have zits, because you always have tons all over your face!"

To that, I said, "Thank you!"

About a Boy

Sometimes I think Hugh Grant is handsome, but sometimes I don't. I have, however, always found him endearing.

Music and Lyrics
Two Weeks Notice
Mickey Blue Eyes
Sense & Sensibility
9 Months

Are the movies that I find him endearing in. Along with all of the late night interviews I've seen with him.

I have watched the movie "About a Boy" a few times in the the past days. In this movie, I think he is handsome, very handsome.

My favorite Hugh Grant movie is "Notting Hill." He is BOTH handsome and endearing.

Baptism, Baptism

On Saturday, we had two baptisms to attend. One was for Piper's really good friend. They have been friends since they were in nursery together. Their family recently moved, so we went to their new Stake Center in Farmington.

The second was for our cousin Reagan. They have also recently California, but they came back up for his baptism and a family reunion (on the other side). They are in California temporarily, they will be back soon.
Piper and her friend. Aren't they cute?

So, what DO I really look like...

...without make-up?

A little buggy-eyed and psycho!!

Granted, this may not be the best picture to emphasize the fact that I have WHITE eyebrows and WHITE eyelashes and TONS of freckles after being in the sun...but you get the idea. Actually, maybe it is the best picture to emphasize these facts. Eeeek.
